Clinical study

What: One of our clinical studies includes 50 healthy female volunteers aged between 18 and 45 years old with skin tone levels 1-5.

Why: The aim of the study was to see if SmoothSkin Gold delivered long-term hair reduction.

How long: The study lasts for 61 weeks (20 visits) and has so far given us valuable and excellent data.

Summary

Our trials proved that by following our 12 week regime, volunteers have experienced noticeable hair reduction after just 4 weeks of using SmoothSkin Gold. The study shows the volunteers noticed 50% hair reduction on their bikini line and 67% hair reduction on the lower leg after the 4th week of treatment. The exceptional results continued with volunteers noticing 72% hair reduction on their bikini line and 83% hair reduction on their lower leg 1 week after completing the initial 12 week treatment regime.

Long Term Results

We also understand that beauty therapy takes time so we recommend an initial 12 week regime to reduce the hairs in the treated area significantly and then to treat once a month as required to be continuously hair free.

What to expect from the regime:

SmoothSkin Gold -We advise a treatment schedule of once a week for 12 weeks followed by monthly maintenance treatments as required.

SmoothSkin Bare -We advise a treatment schedule of once a week for 12 weeks initially, continuing treatments as required until desired results are seen. From then on, we recommend top-up treatments as required.

Sticking to the regime can be difficult, but we offer plenty of help and support during the whole process. The reason we suggest a 12 week regime is because hair grows in cycles and can only be successfully treated during the growth phase.

How It Works

1. Light energy is transferred through the skin’s surface and is absorbed by melanin present in the hair shaft
2. The absorbed light energy is converted to heat energy (below the surface of the skin), which disables the hair follicle preventing further growth.
3. Treated hairs naturally fall out over the course of a few days to 1-2 weeks.
